Family Pictures and/or Advertisement Materials for Souvenir

Dear Registrants:
The Souvenir Committee is requesting all eligible members (mega sponsors, grand sponsors, sponsors and others paid separately for a space in souvenir) to submit family picture and/or advertisement materials not later than June 30/2008. Preferably, send it by email with attachments in jpg or pdf format (do not send any photos in word document) to: sureshthomas96@yahoo.com. All materials must be received by the souvenir committee before the dead line to ensure its publication.

At the subject line of email, please write your Convention registration number, family name, location and the name of individuals as it should appear in souvenir.

The rates for pictures/advertisements in souvenir are listed below. If interested, please submit your materials along with check or money order payable to 2008 KCCNA Convention before June 30/2008.

Full page: US $ 300/-, Half page: US $ 200/-, Quarter page: US $ 100/-

Articles and poems for souvenir

 
 The Souvenir Committee is inviting written articles and poems for consideration to be published in 2008 KCCNA convention souvenir. The following guidelines must be followed. The articles and poems shall not, directly and/or indirectly be controversial to KCCNA objectives, knanaya principles and/or traditions. Page limitation for written articles: maximum three pages. Page limitation for poems – should not exceed one page. Preferred format for English submissions is Microsoft word. Malayalam articles must be submitted along with the malayalam font used. The writer submitting articles for publication will be responsible for complying with all applicable copy right laws. If information is taken out of another article/books etc, it must be referenced accordingly. Last date for submission of articles and poems:  April 30, 2008 May 15, 2008. All written materials must preferably be submitted electronically to sureshthomas96@yahoo.com before the last date for consideration. Those who wish to submit handwritten Malayalam materials must contact souvenir committee chair at the phone number listed below. All submissions received are not guaranteed to be published. Souvenir committee reserves the right to review and choose the articles and poems for publication and its decision shall be final.

2008 KCCNA Convention Souvenir Design & Printing

Bid format and requirements

  • Bids must be submitted indicating each of the following break downs at a minimum.

  • Usage of alternate materials/additional information/suggestions to improve the quality of the souvenir are welcome and be specified separately.

  • 250 office copies must be provided.

  • Require perfect binding with glue satisfaction guaranteed.

  • The total number of pages provided are approximate at this time. A provision must be provided for addition or reduction in number of pages on an appropriate page multiple basis (i.e. $$ amount per …..number of pages – color and black & white separate)

  • The actual printing is expected to take place sometimes between August and October 2008.

  • For printing in India, please specify shipping cost to New York, USA along with mode of shipping (via air or ship) with approximate delivery time involved.

  • Bid must be submitted electronically to sureshthomas96@yahoo.com by April 20, 2008.

Inside pages:

80 lb Gloss text for printing in US and 100 GSM imported for printing in India.

Total number of pages - 240 (4 color pages -160 + black & white pages – 80)

Paper Cover:

12 Pt gloss cover with UV, or

100 lb glossy cover or,

300 GSM with lamination as applicable and be specified

Binding:

Perfect binding stitching and gumming – gluing must be guaranteed.

  • KCCNA or Souvenir committee will not be responsible for payments to any subcontractors hired or used by the signed contractor. If a subcontractor is being used, it should be disclosed and the payments shall be made by the contractor. The contractor must follow all applicable laws regarding payments to its subcontractors.

  • Please provide an overview of your business background and experience details along with bid package.

  • Also submit one or two samples of a comparable size souvenir work you have completed in the past for our review.

Announcement of the winner of the 2008 KCCNA Convention Souvenir Cover page Design Competition

The Knanaya Community and the Souvenir Committee are very thankful to each of the 14 competitors for their outstanding response by submitting 20 different cover page designs. These designs are a clear reflection of their dedication and commitment towards our community. 

A panel of 5 judges from our community had performed a thorough evaluation of the 20 designs received. The design that came in first place belongs to 

 Tony Kochupurackal, 

member of Chicago KCS unit. So congratulations to Tony Kochupurackal, from the entire Knanaya Community.
