Important Announcement from Transportation Committee
As you already know, this Convention will have record number of attendees. Due to the complexity of locations of the various hotels, arranging timely transportation to all, as we initially planned is a big challenge. The complementary domestic transportation alone would consume a bulk of the Convention budget. In addition there would be unavoidable delays during the peak hours causing inconvenience to all.
Therefore limited transportation will be provided between the convention center, hotels and Newark Airport.
Previously we offered transportation only to Newark (NJ) airport. But many of the attendees have informed that they could get better air-fare deals to LaGuardia / JFK/ Newburgh/ White Plains/McArther(Islip,Long Island)/ Philadelphia airports and requested if transportation could be arranged from there. Providing transportation to these air ports is not an option. Instead, Transportation Committee has arranged group discounts with various car rental companies for convention attendees flying to these airports. Car rentals for the four days will be available starting at $152 + tax (for intermediate size vehicle, limited to availability). In addition, a maximum of $100 rebate per rental vehicle per family ($50 for single registrants) will be provided by the committee to those flying to one of the above seven airports. If two or more families share or rent one vehicle, the rebate will go up to $150. Adequate proof of car rental and flight information should be provided (Committee's decision will be final in case of a discrepancy).
Renting a car will be much more convenient to you and will considerably minimize the waiting period at the airport and the daily conveyance between hotels and Convention Center. Free parking will be available at the Convention center and hotels.
